Het hoofdpersonage Beau werd in januari 2019 geboren in Oeganda uit een Oegandese moeder en een Belgische vader.

(1) 'Schijnkinderen' is een woord dat voor het eerst opdook in de Vlaamse pers in 2013. Het wijst erop dat één van de ouders van het kind 'fake' is d.w.z. niet bereid om te zorgen voor het kind. De echte of de 'fake' ouder wil de andere ouder helpen om verblijfsdocumenten te bekomen. Die praktijk is illegaal. Er is waarschijnlijk geen Engelse synoniem voor het woord 'schijnkinderen'. De beste keuze lijkt 'fake children'.

The main character Beau was born in January 2019 in Uganda to a Ugandan mother and a Belgian father.

We are looking for parents, a cartoonist, copywriter, lawyer.coloured person, exhibition builder.hip, (primary) school.diverse, (children's) rights organization,... and you.

(1) 'Schijnkinderen' is a word that first appeared in the Flemish press in 2013. It indicates that one of the parents of the child is fake/not ready to care for the child. The real or the fake parent wants to help the other parent obtain residence papers. That practice is illegal. There is probably no English synonym for this word. The best option seems 'fake children'.
